The Opportunity

As a Financial Analyst Lead, you drive financial planning, forecasting, modeling, and expense management to address complex business challenges and support strategic decision-making. You provide advanced financial analysis and insights on key business drivers, mentor team members on complex financial processes, and help coordinate team priorities and workflow. Additionally, you ensure compliance with regulatory requirements andmaintainthe integrity of financial operations while promoting continuous improvement and business performance.

We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week.This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TXorCharlotte, NCRelocationassistanceis notavailable for this position.

Whatyou'lldo:

  • Leads, develops, and motivates the team to provide advanced analytics and insights around key business drivers.

  • Anticipates opportunities to tackle the most complex and / or unique business problems, providing proactive financial solutions with holistic and forward-looking perspectives to enable better decision making by senior management.

  • Consistently interacts with seniormanagementbecoming their trusted advisor on all financial issues.

  • Makesrecommendations to solve short-term, as well as strategic financial business problems.

  • Teachesand mentors others about complex financial processes, business drivers and systems ensuring information sharing and knowledge transfer.

  • Reviewsanalystswork andassistsmanagement in assigning tasks and managing workflow.

  • Leads initiatives to develop an integrated enterprise planning process from multiple companies and/orstaffagency processes and technologies.

  • Directs analyses and guides the development, enhancement, and implementation of critical processes, programs, and technologies.

  • Anticipates opportunities and potential solutions, leads cross-functional teams through the problem resolution process, andadvisessenior management on issues.

  • Acquiresand applies expert knowledge of the business, itsproductsand processes.

  • Performs complex and often unique work assignments and problem resolution across multiple systems, functions, or processes.

  • Ensuresrisks associated with business activities are effectivelyidentified, measured,monitored, and controlledin accordance withrisk and compliance policies and procedures.

Whatyouhave:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience. 

  • 8 years of experience conducting complex analysis and providing actionable insights to various stakeholders. 

  • Experience using databases and applications to analyze complex business domains (for example: AI, including GenAI). 

  • Experience communicating key business and financial concepts that result in strategic decision making. 

What sets you apart:

  • US military experience gained through military service or gained as a military spouse / domestic partner

  • Financial experience supporting technology

  • Experiencesubmittingmonthly accruals.

  • Experience with monthly variance commentary.

  • Advanced experience working in Apptio, Hyperion Essbase, and Oracle.

Compensation range:The salary range for this position is: $127,310- $243,340

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
