We’re helping a boutique professional services and advisory firm based in Nassau, The Bahamas find a Financial Analyst to support its growing portfolio of clients.
The firm works with entrepreneurs, established businesses, institutions, and international clients across strategic and financial advisory, corporate services, accounting and bookkeeping, back-office administration, and project management. Its clients span a variety of industries, including healthcare, professional services, government, and other service-based businesses.
We’re looking for a Financial Analyst – Accounting & Advisory to support the financial reporting, analysis, and research that underpin the firm's strategic advisory work.
The role sits at the intersection of accounting operations, financial analysis, and advisory support. You’ll work across multiple client businesses, preparing and analyzing P&Ls, balance sheets, cash flow statements, monthly financial packs, and straightforward forecasts while ensuring the senior advisory team has accurate and well-structured financial information to work from.
This is not primarily a valuation or complex financial modeling role. Instead, you'll develop a strong understanding of the financial operations of different businesses and turn their numbers into useful insights and structured outputs that support strategic decision-making.
There may also be research, commercial analysis, and project work depending on the needs of each client. As you develop, there is an opportunity to become increasingly involved in the strategic advisory side of the business.
Commitment: Full-Time (40 hours/week)
Working Hours: Bahamas working hours
Location: Fully Remote
Engagement: Independent Contractor
Start Date: ASAP
Monthly Rate: $1,800-$2,400 (can be higher, depending on level of experience)
The modeling requirements for this role are relatively straightforward. You won't be expected to build complex valuation or transaction models; the emphasis is on strong financial fundamentals, accurate reporting, practical forecasting, and understanding what the numbers mean for the business.
You’re someone who is strong with numbers but also interested in the business behind them.
You can confidently work with P&Ls, balance sheets, and cash flows, prepare reliable financial reporting, maintain forecasts, and spot when something doesn’t look right. At the same time, you’re curious about why the numbers are moving and what they mean for the business.
You may come from accounting, FP&A, financial analysis, consulting, or even a more traditional financial analyst background. What matters most is that you're comfortable with the practical financial work involved and genuinely interested in supporting businesses across a range of financial and strategic challenges.
This could also be a good fit for someone with a more modeling- or transaction-oriented finance background who is looking to move into a role with less emphasis on complex modeling and transactions and greater exposure to ongoing business operations and strategic advisory.
You’re organized, adaptable, commercially curious, and comfortable switching between financial reporting, forecasting, research, and project work across different client engagements.
Success in this role means becoming a reliable extension of the advisory team who can independently manage high-quality financial preparation and analysis across multiple clients.
You’ll progressively reduce the financial preparation required from senior team members by ensuring reports, financial packs, forecasts, research, and supporting information are accurate, well-structured, and ready for use in strategic discussions.
As your understanding of the clients and advisory work develops, there will be opportunities to take on greater responsibility across financial analysis, research, strategic advisory, and project support.
The practical assessment will take place after the client interview stage and will only be completed by final shortlisted candidates.
