Job Title: Financial Analyst Program: Accounting

Schedule: Full-Time, 32 hours, hybrid position Reports to: CFO
Salary Range: $52,000 - $63,500 annually

Position Overview: The Financial Analyst will play an integral role on the accounting team and is responsible for analyzing financial data across multiple platforms, building key performance indicators, and supporting the agency’s long-term financial health and strategic goals through accurate forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to provide insights into financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
· Analyze and build financial statements, dashboards, budgets, scenario analysis, forecasts, variance reports, program analysis, growth scenarios, and other ad hoc analyses as needed.
· Participate in all aspects of the budget process including building the budget, budget discussions, and other associated activities.
· Develop and maintain financial models and KPIs to evaluate agency program performance.
· Analyze trends in revenue, expenses, and profitability.
· Assist with cost analysis and margin improvement initiatives.
· Support management with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requests.
· Ensure data accuracy and compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
· Collaborate with accounting, operations, programs, and leadership teams.
· Prepare journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations as needed.
· Summarize and present findings and fiscal impacts clearly for leadership and program directors.
· Other duties as assigned.
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
· 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, accounting, or a related role.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
· Intermediate to Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables)
· Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
· Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
· Ability to flex hours for periodic deadline-drive work during month-end and planning cycles.
· CPA or MBA preferred.
· Experience with ADP, Credible, Financial Edge NXT
· Experience with industry-specific financial analysis
· Must meet physical requirements: normal degree of flexibility; ability to stand, walk, run and shuffle for several minutes; kneel on one and two knees and then stand up; bend 45 degrees at the trunk and twist to either side; able to grasp firmly; able to raise hands above head.
· Occasionally lift or move materials up to twenty-five pounds.
· Must be able to sit for long periods of time and do work at a computer screen for several hours each day.
