Job Description

Position Overview: The Financial Analyst is responsible for preparing and analyzing various weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports, including, but not limited to, reconciliation of investments, management of cash position, concentration, and scorecard metrics. This role will assist with budgeting, forecasting, and support the Credit Union’s internal and external financial reporting processes and audits.

What You Will Do:

• Responsible for preparation and maintenance of Board and Committee financial reports such as concentration, liquidity scorecard, and investments
• Monitor the Credit Union's cash position, borrowing availability and liquidity needs
• Assist in compiling data and creating support for the Credit Union's Call Report, annual budget, forecast updates and any ad hoc financial analysis requests
• Support asset/liability management processes by compiling quarterly ALM input materials, maintaining assumption documentation and assisting with related analysis
• Assist with CECL and allowance reporting, including reserve support and allowance reconciliation
• Participate in regulatory exams, internal and external audits
• Responsible for preparation of MALCO minutes
• Successfully reconcile investment portfolio and update monthly reporting and pledging of securities
• Assist with monthly financial statement preparation, quarterly regulatory reports, and annual financial statements
• Assist with system rate updates
• Identify variances from expected results, research underlying drivers and report findings

Requirements

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field
• Two years' experience in a financial institution
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills are a must. Enthusiastic about solving significant, complicated problems and challenges
• Extensive knowledge of MS Office software with extensive experience in MS Excel
• Experience working with Fiserv DNA, Prologue, or financial reporting systems
• Working knowledge of accounting transactions, debits, credits, GL entries

Environmental and Physical Activity Requirements: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The daily responsibilities of this position constantly require effective talking, hearing, walking, finger dexterity, reaching, stooping, and grasping functions. The position also often requires reaching and lifting (up to 25 pounds). Frequent sitting, standing, and repetitive motion activities are also required. Must be able to read print and computer-based materials and to do so with consistent accuracy. Most of these functions require light physical exertion and are conducted indoors at controlled degrees of temperature.
