What You'll Do

Position Summary

The Financial Analyst serves as a key financial business partner to clinic leadership and administrative teams, providing financial guidance, analysis, and decision support across multiple healthcare operations. This role is responsible for financial reporting, variance analysis, provider compensation analysis, budgeting, forecasting, month-end close activities, and evaluating the financial impact of new initiatives and services. The analyst acts as the primary point of contact for clinic administrators regarding financial matters and supports strategic decision-making through detailed financial modeling and ad hoc analyses.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Perform monthly variance analysis of operating results against budget, forecast, and prior-year performance.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Develop financial forecasts and support annual budgeting processes for assigned clinic and operational areas.
  • Monitor financial performance and provide actionable recommendations to management.

Business Partnership

  • Serve as the primary financial resource for clinic administrators and operational leaders, responding to finance-related questions and requests.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify operational efficiencies and support financial decision-making.
  • Present financial findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Provider Compensation Analysis

  • Analyze provider compensation models and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Prepare compensation reports and evaluate the financial impact of provider productivity and staffing changes.
  • Support leadership with provider compensation planning and forecasting.

Strategic & Growth Initiatives

  • Develop pro forma financial models for:
  • New ventures and business opportunities
  • Capital investments
  • Provider additions or changes
  • New clinical services and programs
  • Evaluate financial feasibility and return on investment for proposed initiatives.
  • Support strategic planning efforts through financial modeling and scenario analysis.

Financial Close & Reporting

  • Participate in month-end close activities, including accruals, account analysis, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and reports.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management reports and financial dashboards.

Ad Hoc Analysis

  • Conduct special projects and ad hoc financial analyses as requested by leadership.
  • Analyze operational and financial data to support business decisions and organizational goals.
  • Develop reports and tools that improve financial visibility and decision-making.

What We're Looking For

  • EducationBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field.Experience3+ years of financial analysis, FP&A, healthcare finance, or accounting experience preferred.Experience supporting healthcare, clinical, or multi-site operations is highly desirable.Skills & CompetenciesStrong financial modeling and analytical skills.Proficiency in financial statement analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Experience with healthcare financial systems and provider compensation analysis preferred.Preferred QualificationsExperience in healthcare, community health, ambulatory care, or clinical operations.Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement and provider productivity metrics.Experience creating pro forma analyses and business case evaluations.
