Avalara is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our FP&A team, with a primary focus on business partnering with newly acquired companies as part of our M&A integration efforts. Reporting to the FP&A Director, Strategy & Planning, you will help newly acquired businesses assimilate into our financial reporting rhythm. In this Individual Contributor position you will maintain thoughtfulness and consistency across the broader FP&A function. You will support corporate reporting and cash flow forecasting. This is a remote position in the United States.

You will be the primary FP&A contact for newly acquired companies, building trust with local finance and operational leaders to translate their historical financials, KPIs, and reporting practices into the corporate framework
Support the onboarding of acquired entities into corporate planning, budgeting, and reporting systems, helping standardize the chart of accounts, reporting templates, and financial definitions
Identify cooperation opportunities and integration risks, and help prepare monthly financial reviews and variance analyses for acquired companies
Integrate new entities to ensure data integrity across systems as you prepare consolidated corporate reporting packages for leadership, the board, and lenders.
Help build consolidated cash flow forecasts, partnering with treasury and accounting to monitor actuals against forecast and support scenario and sensitivity analysis
Implement improvements to financial processes and reporting automation to accommodate a growing, multi-entity organization
3+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, transaction services, investment banking or consulting
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
You have experience with financial modeling
Excel proficiency with the ability to build driver-based models
Experience working with ambiguous or incomplete data from newly acquired businesses and building structure around it
A continuous improvement and AI bar-raising mindset, with an approach to identifying ways to improve integration, reporting, and forecasting processes through automation and latest technologies
Experience working with or supporting M&A due diligence, integration, or post-merger reporting
Experience with FP&A planning tools (e.g., Adaptive, Pigment, Anaplan)

The base pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be
different in other locations.
Colorado $100,300-$160,500 (annually)
Washington $100,300-$177,200 (annually)
California $100,300-$194,300 (annually)
NYC $100,300-$194,300 (annually)
The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The
successful candidate’s actual salary/wage may be based on various factors, such as geographic
location, candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
This role is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance, depending on
the terms of the applicable plan and the employee’s role.
