This role blends traditional financial analysis with hands-on full-cycle accounting operations, trust account governance, and billing management. The successful candidate will ensure robust control over day-to-day student finance transactions while translating operational data into high-quality management reporting.

Manage day-to-day accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and foundational accounting data entry to support the monthly financial close process.
Execute routine banking procedures and oversee on-site office staff payroll, including part-time hours tracking.
Prepare and manage the day-to-day processing of regular student opt-outs via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) and physical cheques.
Invoicing, Billings & Remittances
Prepare, validate, and issue complex client invoices and billings across student platforms.
Manage, track, and execute precise premium remittances to insurance companies and carrier partners.
Maintain strict tracking schedules for all outstanding client balances and collections.
Trust Account Governance & Reconciliations
Take full ownership of the preparation, balancing, and documentation of monthly trust account reconciliations across approximately 30 distinct accounts.
Investigate and resolve variance anomalies between system data, bank statements, and ledger entries.
Reporting, Underwriting Support & Analysis
Review monthly financial results and key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying, investigating, and documenting variances in revenue and expenses.
Extract monthly claims-to-premium data directly from online insurer portals to update existing analytical templates.
Support the underwriting team by populating templates for the "Composition of Rates" internal pricing and evaluation process.
Analyze revenue streams and provide detailed breakdowns by commercial drivers (e.g., new business, product expansions, organic client growth, and terminations).
Management Reporting & Partnering
Perform variance analysis against budget and forecast models, uncovering root causes and key drivers impacting segment performance.
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (Operations, IT, and Client Services) to eliminate data gaps, improve reporting quality, and enhance financial visibility.
Complete other ad-hoc analytical, operational, and financial tasks as required.
Experience: 3–5 years of progressive experience in a corporate finance, data analytics, or full-cycle accounting role. Prior experience managing high-volume reconciliations or trust accounting is highly desirable.
