This position is based in Richmond, Indiana, a global and strategic Pet Food manufacturing site. Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

The Financial Analyst is responsible for providing value added reporting and analysis to achieve budget goals and supporting continuous improvement activities relating to Finance. This position focuses on Accounts Payable, Material Variances, Inventory and Fixed Assets.

What you'll do

  • Financial Closing & Reporting: Lead month-end closing activities, including the preparation of precise journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and the monthly Plant Performance Report for controller review.
  • Variance Analysis & Forecasting: Partner with budget owners and Plant Controllers to analyze expense variances, develop accurate accruals, and actively drive the annual operating budget, standard costing, and quarterly Latest Estimate (LE) forecasts.
  • Operations & Spend Management: Optimize SAP purchase order (PO) workflows, monitor open commitments, ensure timely goods receipts, and collaborate with engineering to financially close capital projects and track vendor spending.
  • Internal Controls & Asset Protection: Support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) audit testing, enforce internal control SOPs, manage fixed assets reporting, and coordinate cycle and year-end inventory physical counts.
  • Continuous Improvement & Partnership: Drive Accounts Payable (A/P) process improvements to reduce transactional costs, analyze production orders to minimize absolute material losses, and deliver periodic financial training to cross-functional plant teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field
  • 2+ year of prior accounting/finance related work experience
  • Very strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Suits
  • Ability to research and resolve invoice issues, while working with different parties (vendors, budget owners and corporate departments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP or other enterprise resource planning systems
  • Google Workspace tools (ideally also DOMO, Data Studio & AODocs)
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently with in team environment to meet deadlines
  • English Proficiency


Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $76,800.00 - $107,500.00 USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
