  • Full time continuing role
  • Support financial analysis, reporting and budgeting at the University
  • Base Salary $107,312 - $115,686 + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

The Financial Analyst, Finance for Science, Engineering and Architecture provides targeted financial advice to help teams navigate daily operational challenges. They conduct intermediate financial analysis, assist in the budgeting and forecasting process, assist in financial governance functions, prepare financial reports and contribute to the design of dashboards. They take a collaborative approach to promote a streamlined financial process.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • provide financial advice, assisting in day-to-day operational challenges and enquires from internal teams
  • perform intermediate financial analysis and modelling, contributing to decision-making and operational strategies
  • contribute actively to the refinement of budgets and forecasts, working closely with senior finance staff to ensure financial plans are consistent and well-informed
  • contribute to the creation of performance dashboards, ensuring the accurate representation of financial and operational metrics
  • collaborate in refining financial procedures, actively participating in minor system updates and modifications
  • facilitate timely report submission, uphold data integrity according to university systems, and partner with managers to advance compliance initiatives.

  • excellent proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • organisation and time management.
