Job Description

The Financial Analyst will assist in preparing financial statements, disclosures, and quarterly reporting packages for subsidiaries, while coordinating external audits and maintaining financial reporting tools. Additionally, support financial analysis for product development, manage Adhoc requests, and ensure accurate financial reporting for new products and initiatives.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparation of financial statements and disclosures for several subsidiaries
    • Assist in preparation of CFO and Board of Directors reporting package on a quarterly basis
    • Assist in coordination of external audit of financial statements for several subsidiaries
    • Prepare assets roll forward and sales activity schedules explaining quarter over quarter changes
    • Refresh Legal Entity trending templates on a monthly basis
    • Maintain and update financial reporting using software tools (Essbase/Smartview, Workiva, Oracle Business Intelligence
    – EDL, GL Transaction Explorer etc.)
    • Support financial analysis of product development initiatives
    • Assist in coordination and submission of Adhoc requests including – Request For Proposals, Tax filings and Tax compliance
    • Provide prompt and accurate service to setup and evaluate the financial reporting implications of new products and initiatives

Required Qualifications:

  • University Business Degree and CPA is a plus
  • Verse in IFRS, US GAAP
  • Progressive experience in accounting, financial services and/or consulting firm with experience in the public and private investment management industry and/or real estate preferable
  • Fund reporting background would be an asset
  • Experience with financial reporting tool Workiva, Essbase/Smartview would be an asset
  • Strong attention to detail and aptitude to learn
  • Well organized to meet tight deadlines, multi-task assignments and balance information needs with last minute changes or requests.
  • Ability to break down complex problems and offer practical solutions
  • High level of energy and initiative to perform in a fast paced and challenging environment
  • Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and establish priorities to meet deadlines
  • Advanced level of proficiency in MS Excel and other MS office tools (e.g. Word and PowerPoint to develop reports, documents and presentations)
