We are currently seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join our team. This is a full time, permanent role based 100% onsite in Port Melbourne.

About The Role:

As a Financial Analyst, you will collaborate with business leaders to gain a deep understanding of BAA and the core functions they represent. You will be a trusted business partner, providing financial analysis and insight including:

  • Preparation of quarterly forecasts, variance analysis and reporting
  • Weekly and monthly metrics & reports, such as headcount, overtime, cost variance analysis
  • Proactively manage opportunities, risks and issues with stakeholders
  • Analyze performance to plan, recommend and drive improvement initiatives
  • Develop business cases and financial modeling
  • Seek to drive efficiencies in existing processes through continuous improvement initiatives

Basic Qualifications (Required skills / experience):

  • Completed CA/CPA qualification with at least 10 years working experience in forecasting, audit and analysis
  • Good teaming and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage across a diverse workforce
  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Proactive and results oriented
  • Candidates must have Australian Citizenship to be considered for this role due to security clearances required

Preferred Qualifications (Desired skills / experience):

  • Systems experience – preferable SAP
  • Knowledge of cost management, accounting and financial reporting requirements in a manufacturing multi-national environment, ideal
