The Financial Analyst is responsible for executing various financial procedures and preparing periodic reporting requirements to support the company’s Finance, Commercial and Delivery organizations. Tasks can include assisting with the company’s month end close by creating journal entries, maintaining financial schedules, and creating financial transactions.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support client reporting requirements, including preparing protocol budget estimates and actual client spend schedules

  • Assist with the financial system setup for new customers, contract awards and pricing schedules
  • Prepare IRB invoices, review invoices for accuracy, distribute invoices, and perform other similar processes associated with the invoice-to-payments cycle
  • Prepare journal entries and updating of periodic financial close schedules
  • Respond to both internal business partner and external client inquiries
  • Preparation of periodic KPIs for management
  • Peer review of work performed by junior team members
  • Create ad hoc reporting as needed
  • Assist with acquisition related activities
  • Maintain databases to ensure data is up to date and accurate
  • Montor shared mailbox; respond to invoice inquiries, credit memo requests, and fee schedule requests, etc.

  • Other duties as assigned

Location

This role is open to candidates working onsite in the Wellesley, MA office.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years of related finance or accounting experience
  • Strong computer skills with MS EXCEL (Intermediate), MS Access, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word

Preferred Qualifications

  • Tableau, Oracle SQL, Salesforce, and NetSuite accounting software experience
  • Accounting procedures and practical knowledge of GAAP
  • Must be organized, detail oriented, and able to provide solutions and follow-up within established rules and timelines
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Able to apply established rules and procedures in performing work
  • Communication skills required (includes face to face, phone calls, email, and professional writing)

  • Data entry skill and accuracy

Physical and Mental Requirements

  • Sit or stand for extended periods of time at stationary workstation
  • Regularly carry, raise, and lower objects of up to 10 Lbs.

  • Verbal communication; listening and understanding, responding, and speaking

The base salary range for this role is $58,000 - $96,000. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience and may vary from the amounts listed above. This position may also be eligible for a variable bonus in addition to base salary as well as health coverage, paid holidays, and other benefits.
