What we’re looking for:

We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our growing team at our corporate headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio. As a Financial Analyst at Ackermann Group, you will be responsible for providing general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and ad hoc projects for commercial and multi-family real estate assets and investors. This role monitors and reports on day-to-day accounting and financial transactions and processes related to residential and commercial property management, in accordance with the policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual. Additional responsibilites include:

  • General Ledger maintenance, including preparing and posting journal entries and cash receipts, identifying and correcting errors in coding or booking
  • Monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and budgets for multiple entities
  • Monthly account reconciliations for cash, receivables, payables, accruals and lender obligations
  • Provide accurate, timely and relevant recording, reporting and analysis of financial information
  • Escrow and Cash Flow management
  • Identify areas for improvement and aid in the implementation of new accounting policies, standards, and guidelines
  • Communicate results with on site property management teams
  • Research variances and report accordingly
  • Coordinate data transfers between multiple software systems
  • Ability to keep processes on time with communication with supervisor is critical
  • Demonstrate intermediate to advance skills and knowledge of Excel, as well as other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Highly detailed-oriented
  • Operate independently and handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
  • Represents the Company in a professional manner at all times. Consistently maintains a professional courteous attitude when dealing with residents, coworkers and the general public.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

The ideal Financial Analyst will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or other related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Yardi) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in general accounting, financial reporting, and reconciliation.
