Job Description

Financial Analyst

We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Group Finance team, with a focus on analysing financial results and cash flow. This role interprets group-level performance, prepares insightful reporting for senior stakeholders, and supports strategic decision making by identifying trends, risks, and opportunities across the business.

Salary & Benefits

The budgeted salary for this role is between 25,000 and 35,000 ZAR monthly, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse group financial results, revenue trends, and cash flow performance; explain key drivers of movements and variances.

  • Prepare monthly/quarterly management reporting packs, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses to support decision-making (e.g., Power BI and Excel-based reporting).

  • Monitor performance against budgets/forecasts and highlight risks, opportunities, and emerging trends.

  • Provide cash flow insights, including working capital analysis, cash forecasting inputs, and scenario/sensitivity analysis.

  • Partner with finance and business teams to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations.

  • Support strategic and operational initiatives through financial modelling, business cases, and investment appraisals as required.

  • Ensure reporting is accurate, consistent, and aligned to group definitions; contribute to continuous improvement of reporting processes and automation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.

  • Experience or demonstrated interest in performance analysis, cash flow analysis, and management reporting (group-level exposure is an advantage).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and an ability to work with large data sets.

  • Proficiency in financial modelling and reporting tools, particularly advanced Excel; Power BI (or similar) is preferred.
