Job Description

The Financial Analyst reports directly to the VP of Financial Planning and Data Analytics and supports financial planning, budgeting, and reporting functions by analyzing financial data and delivering actionable insights. This role partners with leadership to ensure accurate reporting, monitor performance, and support strategic decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, statements, and performance metrics
  • Utilize accounting and budgeting systems to develop reports, streamline workflows, and improve data accuracy
  • Review financial data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal standards
  • Develop ad hoc reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership and stakeholders
  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries for statistical and financial accounts
  • Assist in the annual budgeting process by collaborating with department leaders to gather inputs and ensure alignment with organizational goals
  • Analyze financial results, monitor variances, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations
  • Support audits, surveys, and other financial reporting requirements
  • Contribute to process improvements within financial reporting and analysis functions
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or related functions

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas and macros); working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience with financial and budgeting systems such as NAV, Sage, Vena, Adaptive, or Solver
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to analyze and interpret large data sets
