Job Description

Business Banking continues to expand across markets, client segments, and banker roles, increasing the need for consistent performance reporting and scalable analytics to understand business drivers and identify growth opportunities.

As a Financial Analysis Associate on the National Sales Finance & Analytics team, you will support the recurring production, validation, and enhancement of manager scorecard reporting while building broader analytics capabilities across banker productivity, client performance, and portfolio trends. This role is well suited for an early-career finance or analytics professional who is detail-oriented, curious, and motivated to grow technical, financial, and business-partnering skills over time.

You will work with senior team members and cross-functional partners to maintain accurate scorecard reporting, test and validate modernized scorecard analytics, and prepare clear insights for Finance, Strategy, and Field stakeholders. As the scorecard modernization is implemented, the role will transition into broader analytics focused on banker productivity, client characteristics, portfolio performance, and profitability insights across National Sales.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support recurring production, validation, and maintenance of manager scorecards and related field performance reporting.
  • Analyze banker productivity, client performance, and portfolio trends to identify drivers and support business discussions.
  • Partner with senior team members and finance transformation partners to test, validate, and implement a modernized approach for scorecard analytics.
  • Prepare clear summaries and commentary for Finance, Strategy, and Field stakeholders.
  • Extract, transform, and analyze data using Excel and tools such as SQL, Databricks, and Alteryx as needed.
  • Perform data quality checks, reconciliations, tie-outs, and validations to ensure reporting accuracy and consistency.
  • Maintain standardized reporting templates, scorecard definitions, process documentation, and recurring control routines.
  • Support development and enhancement of dashboards and analytics that improve visibility into sales, banker, and client performance.
  • Contribute to new analytics that connect productivity, client characteristics, and profitability insights.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify recurring processes through automation, improved tooling, and clearer documentation.
  • Build knowledge of Business Banking National Sales drivers and take on increasing ownership as proficiency grows.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, Business, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, analytics, business intelligence, FP&A, or a related function.
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort working with financial, operational, and performance data.
  • Solid Excel skills, including ability to build, review, and validate structured analyses.
  • Working knowledge of SQL or demonstrated interest and ability to build query and data-manipulation skills.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills with ability to investigate data issues and summarize key takeaways.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including ability to translate analysis into concise business commentary.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative mindset with ability to partner across Finance, Strategy, and Field teams.
  • Self-starter who is curious, eager to learn, and willing to take on increasing responsibility over time.
  • Exercises sound judgment and observes a high degree of confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with SQL, Databricks, Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, or similar data and visualization tools.
  • Experience supporting scorecards, dashboards, sales analytics, productivity reporting, or performance management routines.
  • Experience preparing executive-ready materials, recurring business reviews, or concise analytical commentary.
  • Interest in automation, process improvement, and building scalable reporting solutions.
  • Knowledge of financial planning and analysis concepts, including variance analysis, forecasting, and driver-based commentary.
