Job Description

Job Summary

The person in this position will assist the Financial Aid Director in administering federal and state financial aid programs including advising students on financial aid programs, application processing, and packaging and awarding of financial aid eligibility. This position will administer federal and state loan programs and serve as back-up for ISIR loads. This position will also correspond with various government agencies and perform other duties as assigned. All employees of Saint Paul College are responsible for promoting a culture that supports diversity and inclusion in all forms as well as providing excellent customer service continuously to all internal and external contacts.

Job Duties

• Administer the federal, state, and private loan programs.
• Complete R2T4 calculations.
• Process maximum timeframe suspension appeals
• Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth functioning of the department and maintain the reputation of the organization as a viable business partner.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $24.40 - $35.30

Minimum Qualifications

• One year of prior experience working in a financial aid office.
• Thorough knowledge of State and Federal financial aid regulations and guidelines
• Ability to use the Federal Student Aid’s relations databases and applications.
• Knowledge of and ability to follow FERPA regulations.
• Ability to identify problems and resolve FAFSA data discrepancies.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills sufficient to participate in discussions and communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member

Preferred Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree
• Two or more years of prior work experience working in a financial aid office.
• Previous ISRS experience;
• Demonstrated inter-cultural competency;
