The opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Financial Services team. You will oversee the integrity of our general ledger and balance sheet, manage statutory accounting, lease accounting and drive process improvements for our Australian and New Zealand operations. This pivotal role also involves overseeing the recording and reporting of fixed asset and finished goods stock ledgers and the management of the Concur expense system. Additionally, the Financial Accounting Manager will spearhead financial systems projects and lead a team, including the Financial Accountant and Finance Analyst, as part of our broader financial services team at Pernod Ricard.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end financial close processes, including reconciliations and accruals.

  • Oversee statutory reporting, including preparation and audit of financial statements for Australia and New Zealand.

  • Manage the IFRS 16 leasing database and associated accounting impacts

  • Supervise the recording and reporting of fixed asset registers and reporting of finished goods stock

  • Lead and develop the Financial Accountant and Finance Analyst, ensuring team performance and growth.

What you will bring to the role

  • Tertiary qualifications in an accounting or finance discipline

  • Current member of an internationally recognised accounting body

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills & proven accounting experience

  • Experience with JD Edwards and Power BI

  • An analytical mindset, with a strong attention to detail

  • Good technical knowledge of Australian, New Zealand and international accounting
