Job Description
We are seeking a curious and analytical Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) to join our Finance team in Burnaby, British Columbia on a permanent, full-time basis. What will your responsibilities be?
- Own and contribute to close processes for multiple entities, including the preparation and review of journal entries, reconciliations, and management, statutory and regulatory reporting
- Prepare and lodge detailed tax calculations and returns, in collaboration with external advisors
- Support the preparation of financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards (e.g. IFRS, Japan GAAP), including engagement with external auditors
- Process payroll and administer profit share schemes for one or more offices globally as needed
- Manage aspects of the procurement and payment cycle, ensuring accuracy, appropriate controls, and timely execution
- Partner with internal stakeholders across global offices to provide financial information and respond to queries
- Contribute to ad hoc financial analysis and projects to support business decision-making
- Identify opportunities to improve, automate, and streamline processes, and lead initiatives to implement changes
Your qualifications & experience
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
- 3+ years of post-qualifying experience in public accounting or industry
- Strong academic track record and demonstrated commitment to continuous learning
- Experience with financial reporting, audit, or tax would be advantageous
- Strong Excel skills; familiarity with ERP systems (Workday Financials or similar)
- Familiarity with IFRS or other relevant accounting frameworks

What we offer
The annual base salary for this position is expected to be between $90,000 and $115,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Total compensation also includes a discretionary bonus and a competitive benefits package.
