Build your accounting career with East West Hospitality in Charleston. We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Financial Accountant to join our Greater Charleston Regional Accounting Team. Working closely with our Regional Controller, you will gain hands-on experience across the full accounting cycle while supporting a diverse portfolio of community associations and multifamily properties.

  • Support the full accounting cycle for a portfolio of community associations and multifamily residential properties
  • Maintain accurate general ledgers and financial records across multiple properties and entities
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing, allocations, deposits, receivables, and account reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations and research accounting discrepancies
  • Assist with month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, prepaid expenses, and other adjusting entries
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, budget-to-actual reports, and supporting schedules
  • Support annual property budgets, forecasts, financial analysis, and reserve account tracking
  • Assist with annual audits, reviews, tax preparation, and year-end reporting
  • Partner with property managers and operational teams to answer accounting questions and provide accurate financial information
  • Help maintain strong accounting practices, internal controls, and organized supporting documentation
  • Participate in special projects, process improvements, and cross-training across the regional accounting portfolio
