Financial Accountant

Our client, a rapidly growing financial services firm are looking to appoint a financial accountant who is recently qualified or at finalist level to join their experienced finance function.

The successful applicant will ideally be recently qualified / finalist with experience in banking or the wider financial services, with excellent financial reporting and accounting experience.

The Role:

• Support with the Financial Management and reporting, delivering on monthly / quarterly and annual reporting
• Assist in managing the day-to-day finance function, overseeing and assisting with daily tasks being completed by other members of the finance team - this includes acting as cover for these team members in the event of their absence
• Ownership of balance sheet controls and reconciliations
• Participate in statutory filings such as VAT, Statistics returns
• Participate in group consolidation process
• Ensure proper financial controls maintained across the businesses
• Liaising with external parties including tax advisers, external audit and internal audit

The Person:

• Recently Qualified Accountant or Finalist (ACA/ACCA)
• Experience working in a similar role within financial services
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
