Job Description

Our client is looking for a Financial Accountant to join their team in Dublin for an 11 month hybrid contract (3 days in office, 2 days remote). This role will support time-bound accounting and reporting activities. The successful candidate will provide accounting support aligned to defined deliverables and timelines, while working with cross-functional stakeholders as needed. Responsibilities: - Support month-end and quarter-end close activities, including preparation and review of journal entries and account reconciliations - Assist with financial reporting support, including variance analysis and flux explanations - Maintain documentation to support accounting conclusions, reconciliations, and internal controls - Support process improvement efforts (e.g., standardizing templates, enhancing close checklists, improving reconciliation quality) - Partner with internal stakeholders to collect required inputs and resolve open items within agreed timelines - Perform other accounting support tasks as assigned that are consistent with the temporary nature of the engagement Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) - 3+ years of progressive accounting experience (e.g., corporate accounting, public accounting, or a combination) - Working knowledge of US GAAP and standard close processes (journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis) - Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and comfort working with large data sets - Strong attention to detail, documentation discipline, and ability to meet deadlines - Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and communicate status clearly Benefits Competitive salary Healthcare contribution and inclusion in company pension scheme Work laptop and phone 25 days annual leave (pro-rata) plus paid bank holidays Expanding workforce with potential for career progression for top performers
