About the vacancy

To support our further
worldwide growth, we are looking to recruit a Financial Accountant to
join our FSSC (Financial Shared Service Center) team. The FSSC is based in the Netherlands with a satellite in
Chicago (USA). The Financial Accountant takes care of the accounting and
reporting for several entities.

You will collaborate
with other team members both national and international on improving the way of
working by standardizing, simplifying, and automating.

You will report to the
manager FSSC and you will be based in the company’s headquarters in Breda.

What will you do?

• Manage several international entities for the day-to-day accounting under tight deadlines and in line with the policies and guidelines for the FSSC of NewCold
• Manage intercompany transactions from the entities within the group
• Perform monthly, quarterly and annual closing in line with the FSSC closing checklist
• Preparation and analysis of balance sheet reconciliations (including subledgers bank, AR and AP)
• Registration of monthly payroll
• Preparation of VAT returns
• Preparation of vendor payments
• Preparation of audit documentation
• Assist in various improvement projects for the FSSC team

Who are we looking for?

You are a finance professional who is ready for a next step in his/her career. You are eager to learn new skills, share what you know, expand your network and contribute to the continued growth of NewCold. You have an affinity for financial accounting and you have worked in an international environment.

In addition, you have:

• A minimum of 5 years of previous financial accounting in an international organization with several foreign companies
• Comfort with working in a fast-paced transaction-driven environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A quick learner, a self-starter, able to work independently, and willing (and able) to handle the pressures of an increasing level of responsibility
• Can take on multiple projects/tasks and be able to solve issues
• Highly experienced with Excel and other Microsoft software
• Experience with PowerBi is a bonus
• Ability to follow up on pending issues and meet deadlines
• Continuous improvement mindset
• Highly proficient in English, any other European language is a plus
