THE ROLE

Due to further growth within the business, we are now looking to add an experienced and reliable Financial Accountant to be a part of our small and friendly team. The position is based at our branch in Derrimut VIC.

Your duties as the Financial Accountant will have you assisting the finance department with professional accounting duties and matters related to the control of the accounts to meet business objectives. This involves in participating in all aspects of financial accounting, management accounting and reporting.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Preparation of monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheet for Australia
• Prepare and review monthly reconciliations of General ledger accounts
• Participation in month end processes including preparation and posting of month end journals.
• Review of trial balance for both Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet accounts.
• Preparing BAS, FBT and company tax return
• Maintenance of fixed asset register and depreciation charges
• Assist with Accounts Payable, invoice matching, coding, allocations, reconciliations, automating tasks, maintaining supplier details

ABOUT YOU

• Tertiary qualification in accounting
• Professional accounting qualification (CA or CPA) or willingness to undertake
• Experience in Company ERP systems
• 5-7 years’ experience in a similar role working in a deadline driven environment
• Knowledge and experience with Statutory accounts, FBT, BAS and Company Tax.
• Proven ability to provide outstanding customer service; both internally and externally
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills
