Job Description

We are inviting you to join Howden and become a trusted and valued member of our Financial Accounting team, which is based in the Budapest Shared Service Centre. As a part of this vital team, you will have the opportunity to support numerous exciting projects in addition to your day-to-day tasks and engage in exciting and challenging work that will help you develop your skills and expertise.

In this role, you will manage the end-to-end financial accounting process globally, ensuring the application of US GAAP and local statutory requirements while also meeting other job-specific requirements, which are listed below.

What Will You Do?

  • Following and maintaining work related processes
  • Delivering quality work
  • Completing tasks on or before deadline
  • Ensuring compliance with SOX rules, policies and procedures
  • Performing daily/weekly/monthly reconciliation tasks and investigating/correcting differences
  • Participating in corporate reporting
  • Performing manual journal entries
  • Performing month end and year end closing related tasks
  • Performing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Preparing VAT returns/Intrastat/EC sales and purchases reporting
  • Running other standard reports including any calculation needed for accruals, fixed assets, other revenues/costs
  • Communicating with colleagues within SSC, Global Finance and Business Unit contacts
  • Manual invoicing(recharges, scrapping)
  • Processing bank account related transactions and reconciliation
  • Processing Payments from e-banking systems
  • Intercompany netting, processing settlement and IC reconciliation
  • Filing of all records so that they can be accessed in a timely manner
  • Reporting weekly cash
  • Support Company closing, run global checks and control reports

This is a permanent position working Monday to Friday. We offer hybrid working for this role which will allow you to enjoy the balance of home working and collaboration time with the team in our modern, friendly offices.

Your Experience Should Be...

  • University or college degree
  • Financial background
  • Fluent English
  • Experience in accounting (+1 year)
  • MS office - Excel
  • ERP system knowledge – SAP, Microsoft AX, D365, JDE
