We are currently seeking an exceptional professional to join us as a General Ledger Accountant
We are looking for a detail-oriented finance professional to manage end-to-end financial accounting, reporting, and tax compliance activities. This role involves overseeing month-end closing, statutory reporting, and audits, while supporting budgeting, forecasting, and process improvements. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, auditors, and the Financial Controller, ensuring accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and efficient financial operations across multiple regions.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the full spectrum of Financial Accounting & Reporting and Tax Compliance functions.
• Reconcile the ledger balances and ensure that accounts are accounted for.
• Perform month-end closing activities and be responsible for timely and accurate month-end closing and reporting.
• Prepare reports as required by stakeholders in an accurate and timely manner.
• Provide support to the process of rebate and commission due to customers and suppliers and provide calculations.
• Calculate intercompany recharges and manage the recharge process.
• Initiate and support process improvement projects.
• Participate and support management's initiatives and reports.
• Responsible for the annual statutory audit process and local statutory compliance submissions and ensure timely completion.
• Prepare indirect tax (e.g. VAT / GST / SST) submissions and Corporate Income Tax returns for countries in APAC.
• Support corporate secretarial activities.
• Maintain documentation and filing and ensure compliance with policies and local regulations.
• Participate in bank and treasury-related matters and reporting activities as required.
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Liaison with external auditors.
• Working actively with Financial Controller.
Requirements:
• Degree in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualification (e.g. CPA, ACCA).
• 3 years of operational accounting and reporting experience.
• Ability to work independently with tight timelines in a dynamic environment.
• Positive work attitude, demonstrating good interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Reliable with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is essential, alongside experience using Copilot or other AI tools to enhance productivity.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin to effectively collaborate with teams in China.
