  • Preparing journal entries relating to SMC facilities held with Group (including loans and deposits)
  • Preparing monthly tax effect accounting calculations and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Performing monthly revaluations and foreign currency translations in SAP
  • Assisting with Group reporting templates at interim and year end

  • Coordinating with internal, external and group stakeholders to investigate and resolve intercompany mismatches and timely execution of the external audit program
  • Preparing the annual audited consolidated financial statements for the Anglo American Australia Limited Group and annual solvency statements, the annual dividend assessment and supporting solvency and treasury management matters

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance

  • Strong technical accounting skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • The ability to manage multiple deadlines in a complex, deadline‑driven environment
  • Experience working in a large corporate or Group reporting environment
  • Exposure to consolidation and reporting systems, particularly HFM and SAP (highly regarded)

Additional Information

  • Permanent full-time role
  • Centrally located in our Brisbane CBD Corporate Office, close to train, bus and ferry connections
  • Competitive salary + 12% superannuation and annual bonus
  • Flexible work options including WFH and potential for a 9-day fortnight
  • Paid parental leave for both primary and secondary carers
  • Employee Assistance Program for employees and their family
