Job Description

KyUMH has over 155 years of experience serving youth who have experienced trauma. We have a strong team culture centered around helping our clients find healing through professional therapeutic interventions.

We are seeking to add a Financial Accountant to join our team on our Nicholasville campus. This position will manage accounting principles and procedures to ensure our continued financial health.

The ideal candidate is a strong professional with a strong background in accounting, excellent attention to detail and knowledge of regional laws/regulations.


Responsibilities:
This position will have responsibility to comply with accepted accounting transactions. Activity areas will include accounts receivable and payable, cash receipts, bank statements, payroll, general and subsidiary ledger entries. Financial reporting preparation and reconciliation, bank statements, budget reporting, and tax. Resolves any discrepancies that may occur.

In this position, we are seeking an experienced professional working with journal entries for accounts payable & receivables, depreciation and closings. Prepares monthly financial statements and will assists in year-end reporting. This position will prepare quarterly and yearly tax reports.

Required:

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
  • Deep knowledge of accounting principles
  • Excellent written and verbal communications
  • Ability to handle information confidentially
  • Familiarity with accounting software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proven experience meeting regular deadlines
