The Opportunity

To work as a team member as a Finance/Accounting Intern responsible for assisting with general accounting activities, financial reconciliations, fixed assets, inventory, accounts receivable, and other accounting projects as required by the company. The Intern will work under the close supervision of professional staff while supporting month-end closing, accounting process improvements, and the maintenance of accurate financial records and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with ME closing
  • Performing Journal Entries, writing SOPs
  • Fixed Asset Audit Project
  • Work with operations to verify and validate assets on the books exist in the business
  • Create journal entries to properly record disposals of assets
  • Inventory Count Project
  • Help perform winter inventory count at all locations
  • Chart of Accounts maintenance
  • Help in the efforts to clean up the COA through account deactivation
  • Help reroute mappings in tables to remove no longer active accounts and route to preferred accounts
  • Create standardized balance sheet reconciliation and help review all recs at ME from key account holders
  • Assist in cash receipting and accounts receivable collection efforts
  • Assist in CIP/Fixed Asset reconciliation and rework of current process
  • Head getting all Assets properly set up in Vista, linked to Equipment and sunset CCH

Who We’re Looking For

Required:

  • Pursuing Associate degree or higher, Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

  • Interest in the accounting field.
