Your new position

As Finance & Treasury Business Partner, you will be part of a high paced energetic finance team with specific responsibility for driving treasury tasks across the Business Areas BAAF and BAMECA. You will be reporting to the BAMECA Director Finance & Operations. The role provides a broad functional exposure. The core disciplines will be Treasury and FP&A, but the role will drive strategic finance projects that will have significant exposure to the full value chain. You will develop your network and ability to work with many different stakeholders across multiple geographies, functions and organisational levels.

The responsibilities in the role will be spanning across both key disciplines:

Treasury CoE responsibilities (BAMECA & BAAF)

  • Main contact for affiliates on treasury topics, liaising with core banks and HQ
  • Lead treasury projects (FX exposure, funding, entity changes, trapped cash)
  • Coordinate collections, receivables, provisions, and risk management initiatives
  • Support trade finance and working capital topics across affiliates

Finance responsibilities (BAMECA)

  • Support planning, forecasting, and performance follow-up across markets
  • Contribute to monthly/quarterly reporting, AB/RE cycles, and year-end closing
  • Drive or support strategic finance projects (profitability, business cases, process improvements)
  • Act as finance partner to affiliates, supporting financial management and decisions

The position offers a very broad functional exposure. The core disciplines will be Treasury and FP&A, but the role also entails significant exposure across the value chain. The learning curve will be steep. Broad geographical focus and engagement with senior finance stakeholders across multiple geographies and functions in Business Areas, REM and HQ. You will develop your network and ability to work with many different stakeholders. Possibility to continuously take on more complex tasks and responsibilities as you progress in your professional development.

Your new department

Finance & Operations department is responsible for Finance, Procurement, Accounting & Tax, Treasury, Pricing and Access. We focus on identifying business opportunities, ensuring alignment between strategy and financial resource allocation, maintaining continuous information flow about the business, process excellence, and high compliance levels. We at F&O are business partners who work closely with affiliates creating a real and active partnership with the line of business and management. Our role is to provide proactively and 'real-time' support and analysis and to be a trusted adviser to senior management in strategic decision-making.

Your skills & qualifications

You hold a bachelor’s degree, Business Administration/Economics/Finance is preferred, or preferably a master’s degree in a relevant field, with 2-5 years of related experience pharma or non-pharma industry. You should have excellent command over both written and spoken English.

  • You have solid finance and treasury skills from professional experience and educational background.
  • Your stakeholder management skills are strong, and you have good intercultural skills to engage with different cultures as well as different areas and functions of Novo Nordisk.
  • You have good persuasion skills and an ability to find pragmatic solutions with stakeholders.
  • You have Projects management skills and the ability to solve tasks “through others” to successfully drive projects and solve issues across business area.
  • You possess a high drive and can-do mindset while at the same time being pragmatic and keeping the bigger goals of Novo Nordisk in mind.
  • You have experience working with SAP, preferably SAP S/4HANA
