Kinetic is in the middle of a major finance transformation: replacing multiple legacy accounting systems with Oracle Cloud Fusion ERP across Australia and New Zealand, while simultaneously implementing a new Asset Management System (Hexagon) and EPM platform (Oracle EPBCS/FCCS).
This role exists to extend the capacity of the Finance Transformation Lead by taking direct ownership of defined workstreams within the Oracle ERP implementation and broader finance transformation programme. It is a hands-on role that requires someone comfortable moving between design, testing, data quality, process documentation, change management, and stakeholder engagement - often in the same week.
The right person will be equally at home leading a UAT cycle for Order-to-Cash as they are helping an accountant figure out why a reconciliation isn’t reconciling. They will bring structure to ambiguity, hold themselves and others to a high standard, and communicate with clarity across all levels of the organisation. This is not a strategy-only role - it requires someone willing to get into the detail and drive outcomes.
At Kinetic, we don't just move people - we're creating the positive change our planet needs. As a leader in sustainable transport, we're committed to creating cleaner, safer, and greener environments for generations to come.
Our size and scale give our people real opportunities to learn, grow, and progress in their careers. Calm, positive and respectful team players thrive here. Our people embrace change and are encouraged to stretch their comfort zone while making a difference. We challenge each other to be our best.
We're driven by respect, diversity and genuine connection. From networking groups to community partnerships and volunteering, our camaraderie naturally brings people together. Our energy and dedication keep communities moving and our people growing.
Kinetic is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and our people represent the community which we service. We invite all suitably qualified applicants to apply, including First Nations People, and people from diverse social, cultural and gender backgrounds.

Established over 45 years ago, Kinetic has grown to become the largest bus operator in Australia and New Zealand, and a global, multi-modal transport network with operations that span across the UK, Europe and Singapore.
We began in 1978 with Melbourne’s Skybus – a cost efficient, reliable airport transfer service. Today, we manage a global network of bus and rail services, with a team of 36,000 dedicated people and 11,000 buses seamlessly moving over 100 million passengers every year.
We’re the trusted operator of urban, regional, school and charter bus services across Australia and New Zealand. We operate 40 per cent of buses in Queensland, a third of Melbourne’s bus network, and almost half of bus services in Tasmania. In NZ, we’re proud to partner with councils in Auckland, Christchurch, Wellington and Tauranga.
Our expertise spans continents, operating in five countries across Europe. In the UK, we run the Go Ahead network – alongside joint venture partner Globalvia – which includes the Govia Thameslink rail link, the largest and most complex rail system in the country.
We believe in improving the communities in which we live and operate, and making a positive impact on people’s lives.
We’re removing the diesel buses that emit millions of tons of greenhouse gases every year. We’re putting women up front. And we believe in LGBTQI+ inclusion and the freedom to be your true self.
Governments, airports, businesses, schools and councils count on us every day. You too, can count on Kinetic.
