Job Description

We are looking for a Finance Technology Consultant to support and deliver implementations of enterprise invoicing and e-invoicing platforms. You will work across solutions including Basware, Sovos, Esker and Pagero, contributing to solution configuration, testing, ERP integration, and compliance validation. This role suits someone with solid hands-on implementation experience who can confidently manage their own workstream and engage directly with client teams under the direction of a senior lead.

Implementation & Configuration

• Design, configure and test invoicing platforms (Basware, Sovos, Esker, Pagero, or similar) in line with client requirements.
• Gather and document business requirements through client workshops, translating them into functional specifications and configuration decisions.
• Own your workstream across the delivery lifecycle: requirements, design, build, test, and go-live support.
• Lead UAT sessions, track defects, and work with clients to resolve issues ahead of go-live.
• Produce clear, accurate project documentation — functional specs, configuration guides, test scripts, and training materials.

ERP & Integration

• Work alongside ERP and technical teams to support integration between invoicing platforms and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics).
• Contribute to data mapping, interface documentation, and integration testing activities.
• Build a working understanding of AP and P2P processes within ERP/Purchasing platforms relevant to each engagement.

Compliance & e-Invoicing

• Apply knowledge of e-invoicing standards and regulatory frameworks to ensure compliant platform configurations.
• Support multi-country rollouts by identifying jurisdiction-specific requirements and validating compliance settings.
• Stay current on evolving e-invoicing mandates relevant to client geographies.

Client & Team Collaboration

• Build effective working relationships with client contacts across finance, AP, and IT teams.
• Communicate clearly in workshops, status updates, and written deliverables, adapting your style to the audience.
• Support junior analysts on the team, sharing knowledge and reviewing their outputs.
• Flag risks and issues to the engagement lead in a timely and structured way.

• F luent in English and one additionallanguage (German, French, or both)
• 3–6 years of experience in ERP, AP automation, or invoicing technology implementations.
• Hands-on configuration experience with at least one enterprise invoicing platform (Basware, Sovos, Esker, Pagero, or equivalent).
• Working knowledge of AP processes and how invoicing tools integrate with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle or Dynamics).
• Good understanding of e-invoicing compliance concepts and standards.
• Clear communicator — comfortable in client-facing settings including workshops and status reviews.
• Experience working within Waterfall and/or Agile delivery approaches.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Availability to travel
