The Opportunity
We are looking for a Finance Team Leader to take ownership of Arrow’s financial systems, reporting, managing cash and treasury, and decision-support capability.
This is a highly hands-on role focused on improving how finance works across the business, not just maintaining it. You will be the key finance presence in New Zealand, working closely with the CEO and leadership team to strengthen financial insight, systems, and commercial decision-making.
Rather than focusing on transactional accounting work, this role is about building systems and clarity, structure, and control across the finance function, while enabling better business performance.
Key Responsibilities
Review and improve finance systems, workflows, and internal controls, identifying inefficiencies and implementing practical, scalable improvements
Strengthen data integrity and ensure consistent, decision-ready financial reporting across systems
Own monthly management reporting, delivering clear insights on performance, margins, cash, and key drivers
Provide commercial analysis to support pricing, tenders, and broader business decision-making
Lead cashflow forecasting and working capital management, improving visibility of cash position and financial trends
Support FX exposure monitoring and hedging considerations
Oversee compliance reporting including IRD requirements (FBT, RWT, etc.), and maintain strong internal controls and governance
Liaise with external advisors and auditors as required
Lead the remote finance team members (AP, AR, and data functions), providing guidance, direction, and oversight to ensure accuracy, alignment, and performance
Foster a culture of ownership, improvement, and commercial thinking across the finance function
About You
We are looking for someone who is practical, hands-on, and commercially minded, with the ability to improve how finance operates in a real business environment.
You will likely have:
3 - 5+ years’ experience in accounting or finance (senior candidates also welcomed)
Experience in management accounting, financial control, or operational finance
Strong Excel and financial reporting capability
Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite or Oracle (preferred)
Exposure to cashflow forecasting and financial analysis
Experience in manufacturing, product-based, or operational environments (advantageous)
Leadership capability, ideally with experience leading a small team
You will also bring:
Strong ownership mindset and ability to work independently
Practical problem-solving and process improvement ability
Strong communication skills with non-finance stakeholders
Confidence working across onshore and offshore teams
Why this role?
This is a rare opportunity to step into a broad, influential finance role where you will:
Shape and improve the finance function from the ground up
Work closely with senior leadership on business-critical decisions
Help the business maintain profitability and margin to allow continued strong growth
Gain exposure across operations, finance, and commercial strategy
Play a key role in scaling a fast growing New Zealand business both in domestic and international markets
Develop into a senior leadership role
You will not be siloed in a narrow accounting function. Instead, you will gain full visibility of how the business runs and directly influence its performance and growth.
Interview Process
Phone call with recruitment partner
Initial interview with senior leadership team (Teams)
Onsite meeting and business immersion session
If you are looking for a role where you can genuinely shape finance, improve systems, and potentially grow into a senior leadership position, this is an exceptional opportunity.
Please note, that the application deadline is on 21st June 2026.
