Team Structure

The team sits in the IT Department and works closely with both IT Applications and Development teams and Accounts departments with ownership of the firm's key business systems including; PMS – Aderant Expert, Reporting & Budgeting and the Intapp suite of products as well as integrations between all of the firms systems.

The team leads innovations around the utilisation of systems, best practice and develops bespoke solutions to support business needs. This position will suit an individual with proven experience in reviewing, recommending and implementing both processes and solutions. They should also have good accounting knowledge, Billing, Accounts Payable or Cashiering processes, excellent technical skills and be comfortable leading all aspects of project delivery.

Focus: First-line support, BAU operations, and system stability

The Finance Systems Support Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day operational support of the firm’s finance systems. This role ensures system stability, resolves user issues, and executes routine maintenance tasks. It is a critical first-line role that supports the wider Finance Systems team by investigating and resolving incidents and tasks, maintaining data integrity, and escalating complex issues appropriately.

We are considering candidates who are based in London or Athens and are able to work in our office in those locations.

Main Responsibilities

  • Act as first line support for finance systems issues and requests via ServiceNow. Resolving, or escalating incidents in line with SLAs.
  • Perform daily data integrity checks of key systems (e.g., Aderant Expert, Intapp, I4G, Concur) to ensure uptime data integrity.
  • Execute scheduled tasks such as patch testing, user access reviews. Support monthly server and system maintenance activities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date support documentation and contribute to the team’s knowledge base.
  • Assist users with basic and complex queries related to billing, AP, time entry, and reporting. Provide guidance on system navigation and usage.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to the Finance Systems Support Team Leader or Functional team as appropriate.
  • Participate in training sessions delivered by senior team members to build knowledge of new processes and applications.
  • Support data validation and integrity checks across finance systems
  • Cover for other members of the wider team where appropriate and required
  • Flexible with working hours where required for business needs and Month End peak periods

Attributes/Skills Required

  • Strong understanding of finance systems in a legal or professional services environment (e.g., Aderant, Intapp).
  • Experience with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow, including queue and SLA management.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Service focused attitude and professional manner, appropriate for a commercial law firm.
  • Confident and clear communication (verbal and written) with people at all levels of the business hierarchy.
  • Able to respond quickly to requests, manage time effectively, and work under pressure.
  • Proactive nature, hardworking, organised, able to structure own work and work solo when required.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good working knowledge of SQL
  • Service-oriented mindset with a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with finance processes in a legal environment.
  • Basic understanding of Aderant Expert and related systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn and grow.
  • Understanding of Aderant Expert (or other Practice Management Systems) and related systems
  • Familiarity with the Aderant table structure
  • Good understanding of Aderant framework modules front and back end
