Xylem is seeking a Finance Systems Manager, Tax to support and enhance its current and future tax applications. This role will provide ongoing system support while partnering with IT, Tax, Finance and other key stakeholders to drive continuous improvements and innovation across the tax technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop deep business process expertise to identify and drive system and process efficiencies
  • Optimize tax platforms and integrations across systems, including OneSource, Global Next, Coupa, Pagero, CERTify Tax, and SAP S/4HANA (including SAP DRC)
  • Resolve complex and escalated issues within the tax systems landscape
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and enhancements, working directly with Tax and Finance SMEs and technology partners
  • Review system release notes, assess impacts, and communicate required changes
  • Develop and execute test plans for user acceptance testing, regression testing, and defect resolution
  • Partner with integration teams to support and enhance system interfaces
  • Provide day-to-day system support and ensure optimal performance
  • Drive user adoption by improving system usability and experience
  • Serve as the first point of contact for user inquiries, ensuring timely and effective resolution
  • Lead solution design for enhancements, defect fixes, and new business requirements
  • Apply functional tax knowledge to support operational processes such as purchasing, trade, invoicing, and payables
  • Build strong relationships with business stakeholders, tax experts, and technology teams
  • Influence upstream and downstream processes across functions and leadership levels
  • Develop and maintain reports and queries to support business needs and ensure data integrity
  • Prioritize and escalate issues to ensure prompt resolution
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues between tax platforms and ERP/master data systems
  • Support global implementations of OneSource within broader SAP S/4HANA ERP programs and related systems

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Tax, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Experience with OneSource or similar tax platforms in a technical or functional capacity (e.g., system owner, implementer, or administrator)
  • Strong understanding of tax and financial business processes
  • Experience supporting complex, multi-system environments and ERP integrations
  • Exposure to large-scale, phased technology implementations
  • Proven ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
  • Experience troubleshooting system issues and coordinating cross-functional resolutions
  • Demonstrated experience in process improvement initiatives
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and related tools
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Experience acting as a liaison between internal teams and external partners
  • Ability to translate between business and technical requirements
  • Fluent in English
  • Familiarity with compliance and governance controls
