The Corporate Finance department at AWG is looking for a Finance Specialist to join our team. In this position, you will have the opportunity to learn a variety of finance specific activities, work with a wide variety of AWG’s internal and external stakeholders and receive cross training into other finance areas. Key Responsibilities
Perform collection duties related to member/retail customers, ensuring payments are collected/applied timely and accurately, with payment returns and exception handling addressed and/or escalated properly
Assist in the coordination of shareholder relations activities, including, but not limited to on-boarding, shareholder interactions, shareholder payments, and internal accounting related to shareholder programs
Provide support related to certain banking functions
Other assigned tasks related to Finance and Treasury responsibilities
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting or business-related field
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize
Professional verbal and written communication skills
Ability to exhibit a high degree of confidentiality
Ability to critically think, problem-solve, and exhibit patience and level-headedness in a fast paced environment
Collection experience preferred
