We are looking for a Finance Specialist to manage accurate, timely, and compliant financial operations at the local level. The role will cover invoicing, expense management, reporting, banking, compliance with Bulgarian regulations, and close coordination with the head office or group finance department.
Key Responsibilities
Invoicing & Revenue Tracking: Prepare and issue client invoices for agency services, ensure accuracy and timely delivery, monitor receivables, and follow up on outstanding payments. Apply correct VAT and tax codes in line with Bulgarian regulations.
Expense Management: Collect, verify, and record operational and office expenses (e.g., port fees, transport, crew handling). Manage petty cash, ensure proper documentation, and coordinate vendor payments and reconciliations.
Banking & Payments: Process vendor and operational payments through local banking systems. Reconcile bank accounts regularly and maintain accurate transaction records.
Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial summaries (revenue vs. expenses, cash flow) for the head office. Submit invoices, receipts, and statements. Support internal and external audits with required documentation.
Compliance & Tax: Ensure compliance with local tax laws (VAT, withholding taxes, etc.) and maintain financial records according to Bulgarian accounting standards and group policies. Liaise with local accountants or tax consultants when needed.
Coordination with Head Office / Group Finance: Align local financial processes with corporate standards. Share updates and reports with group finance and follow internal finance policies (budget limits, cost control, etc.).

Qualifications
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3–5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related role.
Strong knowledge of Bulgarian accounting standards and tax regulations.
Proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently.
Fluency in English; Bulgarian language skills required.
