Job Description

The Finance Shared Services Center Financial Specialist III will assist the team Manager in overseeing and supporting the day-to-day operations of the finance shared services team, ensuring the efficient, accurate, and timely delivery of financial services. This role combines hands-on accounting tasks with team coordination, workload monitoring, and process improvement efforts to uphold financial integrity and support smooth business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management
    • Oversee day-to-day operations of the shared services center, ensuring the timely processing of financial transactions.
    • Ensure financial processes align with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Identify, monitor, and escalate any operational issues affecting the finance department.
    • Step in when necessary to support the team in meeting deadlines.
  • Accounts Payable, Receivable & General Ledger:
    • Monitor the team’s processing of invoices, payments, and journal entries for accuracy and compliance.
    • Oversee account reconciliations and month-end close activities, providing support when needed.
  • Reconciliation & Financial Reporting:
    • Supervise reconciliations and reporting deliverables to ensure accuracy and completeness.
    • Support budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation as required.
  • Audit & Compliance:
    • Lead audit readiness efforts and monitor compliance with internal controls and regulations.
    • Guide the team on policy adherence and assist in resolving compliance issues.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Serve as a point of contact for internal stakeholders and external vendors regarding finance services.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., IT, HR, OGC, Marketing) to ensure seamless operations.
    • Manage relationships with external auditors and third-party service providers as necessary.
  • Process Improvement & Efficiency
    • Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
    • Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives within the shared services team

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA/CMA preferred.
  • At least 4 years of experience in finance, accounting, or shared services.
  • Strong experience in managing full set of accounts, with in-depth knowledge of financial systems, accounting principles, and regulatory standards.
  • Experience in leading teams or projects and contributing to process improvements.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Mandarin or Japan language capability is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is advantageous.
  • Adaptable and responsive to evolving business needs.

  • Fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Occasional overtime during peak periods (e.g., month-end, year-end).
