Finance Services Supporter, Koriyama Factory

Your new role

As a Finance Services Supporter within our manufacturing site finance team, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting the smooth running of accounting operations in a global context. You will communicate often in English – with global headquarters and our shared service center in India – giving you daily exposure to international finance practices.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting monthly closing activities and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in alignment with global standards
• Collaborating with global finance teams and the shared service center in India on day-to-day accounting processes
• Assisting with annual budget planning, forecasting and variance analysis
• Processing and reviewing transactions across a broad range of accounting areas including accounts payable, fixed assets and cost accounting
• Contributing to continuous improvement of finance processes and internal controls
• Supporting ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting requests from local and global stakeholders

Your new department

In Global Manufacturing & Supply, we cover the full value chain from drug and device development to marketed Novo Nordisk products. We are more than 30,000 colleagues across the globe with the shared responsibility of scaling molecules, processes, devices, and products, dedicated to supplying life-saving medicines to the patients who need them most.

You will join a close-knit finance team of four, reporting to the Finance Manager at the Koriyama Factory. The team includes two highly experienced colleagues and one member who joined relatively recently – together creating a supportive environment with the capacity and willingness to develop junior talent. While the factory sits under the Tokyo headquarters as a legal entity, the factory is directly under the global organization and a lot of your interactions will be with global stakeholders and the shared service center in India.

Your skills & qualifications

We are looking for someone who is eager to grow their accounting career in an international environment and who thrives when working across cultures and languages. You will bring:

• A minimum of 2 years’ accounting experience (experience at a manufacturing site is a plus but not essential)
• Bookkeeping qualification at level 2 (簿記2級) or above
• Native-level Japanese or JLPT N1
• English proficiency at TOEIC 600 or above (willingness to use English daily in written and verbal communication)
• A proactive attitude with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
