Are you an experienced CPA or CA with a desire to contribute to a thriving not for profit organisation?

The Finance Senior Manager leads the BYS finance team and provides financial support and guidance to the Operations Director. This full-time role supports the organisation through strong financial governance, compliance and reporting.

You’ll be a great candidate for this role if you:

• Are CPA or CA qualified with experience in the not-for-profit sector.
• Have experience managing grant acquittals and overseeing budgeting processes.
• Can demonstrate strong working knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, tax, and company legislation.
• Have experience managing payroll and a strong understanding of Award interpretation, particularly for the SCHADS Award.
• Demonstrate advanced technology skills using accounting software (Xero preferred) and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Can lead, manage, and grow our fantastic finance team.
• Demonstrate strong operational risk management skills, analysis, and mitigation implementation.
• Can demonstrate the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Possess highly developed communication skills, with experience preparing executive and Board reports.

Given the work that we do there will be a few non-negotiables. You’ll need to be able to have, or obtain prior to commencement:

• A Working with Children Suitability Card [Blue Card].
• A National Coordinated Criminal History Check [Police Check].
• Evidence of vaccination, immunity, or medical exemption for the following preventable diseases - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella [Chicken Pox], and Pertussis [Whooping Cough].
