Finance Senior Manager in GAC Savannah


Unique Skills:

  • Advanced Excel: Expert proficiency in financial formula design, data arrays, Power Query, and macro-optimization.
  • Automation & BI: Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Microsoft Power Platforms) and building dashboards in Power BI or Claude.
  • ERP Systems: Enterprise-level mastery of extracting and structuring data from major ERP/ESCM systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite Dynamics 365)

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Finance or related curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Master's Degree preferred. Advanced degree may be used to reduce work experience by 2 years. 8 years increasing financial responsibility. Previous managerial/leadership experience preferred. Working understanding of GAAP. Other Certification preferred. Position PurposeServe as Financial advisor to the operational business areas and provide business judgment for all decisions with financial implications. Establishes operating policies and procedures that affect departments and subordinate sections and work units. Interprets company-wide policies and procedures. Develops budgets, schedules and performance standards. Maintains appropriate control environment consistent with Sarbanes Oxley reporting requirements.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions:
  1. Ensure accurate and timely financial performance analysis and reporting. Analyze significant variances from planned or forecasted results and provide interpretative comments and recommendations to senior management. Identify key business issues and opportunities for improvement.
  2. Administer annual budget development to include underlying assumptions, target setting and development of staffing and revenue/margin/expense plans to meet business targets. Includes understanding and analysis of revenue/margin, capital, direct and indirect costs as applicable to assigned business areas.
  3. Recommend strategic solutions to business challenges, plays a key role as financial representative on operations management leadership team.
  4. Assignments are objective oriented. Work is reviewed in terms of meeting the organization objectives and timelines.
  5. Maintain an environment of continuous process improvement, both in support of operations and with financial processes.
Additional Functions:
  1. Engage in the typical responsibilities of a manager requiring planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating and controlling work activities of staff. .
  2. Develop planning for and manage execution of financial deliverables. .
Perform other duties as assigned.A credit history check from a national credit bureau will be conducted for all candidates for this position including new hires and current employees seeking promotion or transfer.
