As AMPECO continues its rapid growth, we are expanding our finance team with a Finance & Reporting Analyst who will support the team across monthly closing, management reporting, accounting / tax related activities. This role is designed for someone with a strong foundation in finance who is looking to broaden their experience, work across multiple areas of the function, and grow into greater responsibility over time as the team and company scale.
What you’ll do
Support the monthly closing process across all AMPECO entities, contributing to specific areas of the closing and helping ensure it is accurate, timely, and consistent
Act as a day-to-day liaison with our external accounting, payroll, and tax providers - coordinating routine deliverables, following up on open items, and helping ensure quality of outsourced work
Assist with statutory reporting and annual audit processes across the company's multi-jurisdictional structure (US, Bulgaria, and other operating entities), supporting the finance team in preparing inputs and following up with external advisors
Support tax compliance activities in coordination with external advisors, including VAT, corporate income tax, and intercompany flows
Help translate closing data into clean, reliable inputs for budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis
Contribute to the preparation of monthly management reporting packages, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and key SaaS metrics (ARR, NRR, CAC/LTV, burn, runway)
Support FP&A activities including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and ad-hoc financial modeling
Help maintain financial controls, accounting policies, and internal procedures, and contribute to their improvement as the company scales
Identify opportunities to improve and automate recurring tasks across the finance function, applying AI tooling where it adds value
Contribute to the ongoing development of BI and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar) to make financial data more accessible across the organization
Partner with the broader finance team and other functions (commercial, operations, people) to ensure financial data quality and support day-to-day business needs

What we’re looking for
Must-have:
University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
2+ years of professional experience in accounting, financial reporting, controlling, or FP&A - ideally with exposure to reporting or controlling specifically
Working understanding of accounting principles and monthly closing processes
Strong analytical thinking and a structured approach to problem-solving - able to break down tasks, ask the right questions, and follow through
Good communication skills in English and Bulgarian, both written and verbal; ability to interact professionally with external providers and internal stakeholders
Affinity for process improvement and working with AI tools to make finance work more efficient
Comfortable working with Excel at an advanced level with experience in working with ERP systems and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar)
Hands-on, flexible mindset - willing to roll up sleeves on a variety of tasks and grow with the role
Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential financial information
Nice-to-have:
Experience in a SaaS, technology, or scale-up environment
Exposure to multi-jurisdictional operations (US, Bulgaria, or other international entities)
Working knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP in addition to local Bulgarian standards
Exposure to statutory reporting or audit processes
Familiarity with implementing or configuring BI/reporting tools (vs. only using them)
