Job Description

Job Purpose

You will work closely with the Finance Team to process payments efficiently and accurately, while delivering a high level of customer service to clients and external sources.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicating with clients and external agencies by telephone in a professional and timely manner.
• Providing support and cover to other areas of the business when required.
• Ensuring full compliance with ISO27001 requirements at all times.
• Maintaining strict confidentiality in relation to all correspondence, documentation and communications.
• Carrying out any additional ad‑hoc duties as required by the business.
• Processing payments to clients and third parties accurately and promptly.
• Managing and maintaining daily work schedules to the best of your ability.
• Using written, electronic and verbal communication to chase overdue payments on a daily basis.
• Providing clients with clear and timely updates via email and telephone.
• Resolving file queries proactively to ensure cases progress smoothly to completion.
• Liaising with other departments when necessary to support efficient case handling.

Experience & Knowledge

• Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
• Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
• Strong organisational, administrative and time‑management skills.
• Clear and confident communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A customer‑focused approach with the ability to build positive relationships.
• Ability to cope under pressure and remain calm in fast‑paced environments.
• Proven ability to work to deadlines and manage competing priorities.
• Ability to use initiative within agreed boundaries, as well as work effectively as part of a team.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organisation and time‑management skills, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
