Finance Project Manager in Old Oak Common

More Than a Job: A Mission

We are seeking a passionate Finance Project Manager to play a major part in the Financial Strategy success of the project, contributing to negotiation processes to secure project success. You will participate in overall Project Management process jointly with the Project Manager and provide financial analysis, advice and guidance to support the project team in making the best business decisions for the project.

Your primary base will be in Old Oak Common, with occasional travel within London to other depots/sites where the project teams are located. You must be highly agile, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced project environment, quickly understanding complex situations and responding effectively to changing priorities.

Your Role, Your Impact

• Prepare timely and accurate forecasts for sales, costs, margin and cash.
• Managing and analysing costs, revenue and profitability.
• Business Partnering: provide finance advice by effectively with Project Stakeholders and provide reliable financial analysis to assist in the decision-making.
• Participate in overall Project Management process jointly with Project Managers (PM).
• Support Project Leadership and PM in risks and opportunities process and sign-off contingencies/committed savings.
• Control the financial performance of the project and propose action plans to improve contract margin and cash profile as well as corrective action plans to mitigate identified risks.
• Challenging financial information throughout project process (consistent “Early Warning” for financial impacts of projects operational performances and risk mitigation).
• Monitoring compliance with all governance and reporting rules & regulations in project.
• Understanding the contractual terms and conditions and advising about all financial matters in contract, focusing on guiding on competitiveness improvement.
• Permanently looking for liquidity flows and working capital optimisation and promote cash culture in the project.
• Active involvement in bids and tender stage for Service projects.
• Supporting the finance teams in the monthly closing process and reporting Project financials in a suitable manner.
• Ensuring billing process (external or internal) is made on a timely manner.
• Support with the Expense Summary.

You'll work with sharp, committed teams solving complex challenges that shape the future of mobility, ensuring seamless integration of business and technology.

What You Bring

• Fully qualified CIMA, ACCA or equivalent qualification is highly desirable.
• A project operational background would be an advantage.
• Solid organisational skills and ability to prioritise.
• Confident to work effectively as a member of a team to co-ordinate and ensure consistency of reporting.
• Able to influence and instil confidence in those inside and outside of the finance department.
• Excellent knowledge in MS Excel, knowledge of SAP. (Power Query and Power BI is desirable).
• Ability to communicate effectively in the English language (written and spoken) with people at different levels.
• Must be able to work autonomously (self-motivated).
