Job Purpose and Impact

The Finance Planner Specialist will translate complex category, product, brand, channel or other integrated financial strategies and insights into actionable plans. In this role, you will partner collaboratively with key stakeholders to drive the prioritization, phasing and resource management for marketing activities and initiatives to enable a cohesive approach while achieving strategic marketing objectives.

Key Accountabilities

  • Consolidate and align complex category, product, brand and other marketing strategies into one integrated marketing plan that gains synergies and ensures optimal use of resources.
  • Create and ensure a holistic financial plan with logical flow, smooth sequence and timing, strategic alignment and cross functional resource optimization, avoiding redundancy and tracking marketing performance to adjust the plan as necessary.
  • Partner with other marketing teams to ensure appropriate channels and content to execute activities and create strong positive financial plan.
  • Dynamically update the marketing plan based on market and business changes and adjust planned resources accordingly to maintain progress towards marketing goals.
  • Collaborate with broader marketing teams to run the marketing planning process and facilitate the flow of information and insights are shared across the marketing and business teams to improve business planning and marketing performance.
  • Handle marketing measurement activities and performance reporting across the elements of the marketing plan.
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications

Minimum

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Solid experience in Financial Planning & Analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of P&L management, profitability analysis, gross profit, margin management, and cost structures.
  • Experience in FMCG companies and consumer goods environments.
  • Experience partnering with Marketing, Trade Marketing, Commercial, or Innovation teams to assess business and financial performance.
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Advanced English proficiency.

Preferred

  • SAP knowledge is a plus.
  • S&OP experience is desirable.
