Job Description

The Role

We are looking for a hands-on, Qualified Accountant to join our Finance Operations team in Leicestershire as a Finance Operations Manager.

In this execution-focused role, you will balance high-impact financial modeling with operational expense governance. Working closely with P&L owners across the business, you will manage day-to-day cash flow forecasting, coordinate balance sheet cycles and oversee our Travel & Expense (T&E) operations. Supported by a Junior Analyst, you will translate granular financial data into clear, actionable insights that keep our growth on track.

Please note this is an office based role 5 days a week in Enderby

What You Will Take On

  • Cash Flow Forecasting & Variance Tracking: Build and maintain our annual cash budget model and rolling multi-billion forecast. Track weekly cash performance against budget, analyse variance trends, and collaborate directly with P&L owners to gather inputs.
  • Balance Sheet & Intercompany Governance: Coordinate inputs for monthly, half-year, and year-end balance sheet forecasts. Reconcile intercompany and related-party balances directly with Group Finance and key business units.
  • T&E Operations & Expense Governance: Oversee end-to-end travel and expense operations, managing employee travel spend (£21m p.a.) and corporate credit card expenditure (£10m p.a.). Maintain the Business Travel & Expense policy and oversee Concur audit-ready carbon reporting.
  • Team Leadership & Operational Delivery: Directly mentor and line manage one Junior Finance Analyst, supporting their daily deliverables and professional development.

What You Will Bring

  • Qualified Accountant: You hold an ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification with strong technical financial expertise.
  • Analytical Problem Solver: You bring a logical, detailed approach to complex financial data and feel comfortable building complex cash flow models in Excel.
  • Collaborative Communicator: You build strong working relationships across functions, explaining complex variance drivers simply to non-finance stakeholders and senior leaders.
  • Hands-on & Adaptable: You seamlessly transition between high-level cash forecasting and meticulous balance sheet reconciliations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Supportive Leader: You enjoy coaching others and are proactive about creating growth opportunities for your team.
