ABOUT THE ROLE

The Bamford Collection is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Finance Operations Manager to join the business on a 12-month fixed-term contract, leading a significant transformation programme across the Finance function as part of the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of Finance Operations within a dynamic and growing luxury lifestyle business. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will lead the redesign of operational finance processes, drive improvements in financial controls and governance, and support the successful transition to a new ERP environment.

While overseeing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and cash management processes, the primary focus of the role will be transformation delivery, process optimisation and building a high-performing finance operations function capable of delivering best-in-class standards. This role is ideally suited to a proactive and solutions-focused finance professional with strong operational expertise and experience leading change within complex business environments.

COMPETITIVE SALARY

HOURS: 40 hours a week, 5 days in the office, Kingham, Oxfordshire.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the transformation of Finance Operations processes as part of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central implementation, driving automation and process improvements across AP, AR and cash management.

  • Design and implement robust financial controls, ensuring compliance with internal policies, audit requirements and regulatory standards.

  • Act as the Finance Operations lead for the ERP implementation, overseeing data migration, user acceptance testing and team training.

  • Manage stakeholder relationships across Finance, IT and Operations to ensure successful delivery of transformation objectives.

  • Develop KPI and reporting frameworks to improve operational visibility, accuracy and performance.

  • Lead, coach and develop the Finance Operations team, building capability and supporting a smooth transition into the new ERP environment.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • ACA or ACCA qualified is essential.

  • Demonstrable experience in Finance transformation, process redesign, and financial controls improvement.

  • Proven track record of delivering change in a project or programme environment, ideally within an ERP implementation context.

  • Strong understanding of financial controls frameworks, audit requirements, and governance best practices.

  • Experience of data management, master data governance, and data quality improvement.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or equivalent ERP is highly desirable.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence at senior levels.

  • People management experience, with the ability to lead and develop a small team through change.

  • High levels of personal organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
