As a Financial Operations Analyst at Kainos, you will support the Operations Manager in the management of theday-to-dayoperational processes within the Business Unit (BU). This will involve the support of the management team and wider BU includingrevenuereporting, P&L analysis, process improvements, profitability and other KPIs.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Working with the Operations Manager to supportrevenueforecastingprocess, includingeffective ratesandBUperformance analysis(Monthly P&L review)
Providing analysis on KPI data(margins; effective rates; fixed fee projects health)and present findings to the Operations Manager
Tracking staff utilisation and providing support for corrective action where appropriate
Analysing of all non-project time;
WIP analysis and follow up with relevant BU;
Backlog reconciliationsand other various reports;
Working with PMO onPSA projects set upissues;
Supporting the Operations Manager in liaising with Central Teams within the business
Supporting continuous improvement and refinement of operationaland commercialprocesses
Minimum (Essential) requirements:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Professional Services or Finance Team environment
Exceladvancedcompetency
Meticulous attention to detail
Demonstrable ability to develop relations acrossdifferent partsof the business
Willingness to learn new things
Excellent communication skills
An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers
A positive “can do” attitude
Desirable:
Power BI experience
Newly qualified accountant (CA, ACA, CIMA, ACCA etc) or equivalent relevant experience desirable
