How you will Make an Impact

As an Advisory Senior, you will take ownership of technical reporting projects, managing and delivering multiple client engagements while ensuring alignment with client objectives and building strong client relationships. You will be tasked with preparing high quality deliverables, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues, and demonstrating initiative and critical thinking to deliver impactful solutions. Additionally, the firm will support you in staying up to date with the latest accounting standards and regulatory frameworks, enabling you to deliver accurate and technically robust solutions.

Your main tasks will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Prepare detailed advisory reports and memos for clients, providing technical guidance on financial reporting matters and complex transactions.
  • Conduct in-depth research on financial reporting standards and regulations, with a focus on IFRS and GAPSME.
  • Prepare and review consolidation workings and group reporting packages in line with IFRS and other applicable frameworks.
  • Assist clients in the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and timely financial reporting.

  • Support audit teams in addressing complex accounting transactions and provide support for technical queries related to financial reporting.
  • Contribute to the delivery of training on accounting standards and other financial reporting requirements to clients and finance teams.
  • Stay informed on changes to accounting standards and local regulatory requirements, advising clients on their implications and implementation strategies.
  • Contribute to the firm’s thought leadership by drafting articles on financial reporting trends and developments.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency in clients’ accounting and financial reporting processes, and support in the implementation of financial reporting modules within ERP systems.

Your Specialized skills:

  • Candidates must be in possession of a recognised degree in accounting or be in the final stages of completing one.
  • Use of the relevant internal and external knowledge databases and exploitation of the relevant information to benefit clients and the firm.
  • An analytical mindset, demonstrating a passion for technical accounting and a commitment to staying current with industry standards and changes.
  • Any practical experience in a finance or auditing role will be considered an asset.
