Finance Officer

Reports To: General Manager (GM) / Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

About the Role
Our client, a leading healthcare and diagnostics organization, is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Officer to support its financial operations and ensure sound financial management across the organization.
The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, statutory compliance, accounts management, and maintaining robust internal controls. The role also supports strategic decision-making through financial analysis while ensuring operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and management accounts.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
Monitor cash flow and recommend strategies to improve liquidity and financial performance.
Maintain accurate accounting records and financial documentation.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely reconciliations.
Perform financial analysis and provide insights to support business decisions.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and statutory regulations.
Internal Controls & Compliance
Implement and maintain effective internal control processes.
Ensure compliance with company policies, financial procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Identify financial risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
Support internal and external audit activities.
Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and operational efficiency.
Support automation and continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function.
Develop and implement best practices that enhance financial reporting accuracy and efficiency.
Business Support
Provide financial support to departmental managers and operational teams.
Prepare financial reports and analysis to support strategic planning.
Monitor departmental budgets and expenditure.
Support procurement and cost management initiatives.
Stakeholder Management
Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with management to achieve organizational financial objectives.
Provide timely financial information to support decision-making.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
ICAN qualified or at an advanced/professional stage of ICAN qualification.
ACCA or ANAN certification is an added advantage.
Experience
Minimum of 2–4 years of relevant finance or accounting experience, preferably within the healthcare, diagnostics, or related industry.
Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Hands-on experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
Good knowledge of Nigerian tax regulations and statutory compliance requirements.
